Gunsmith as per census of 1800, Between 1807 and 1813 he was taxed in
Caernovon Township, Lancaster County. He was not fount on the tax rolls of Hempfield
Township before or after 1800. Samuel Barber owned a fulling mill near the mouth of "Barber's Run". He was second lieutenant on the first company of Hempfield Township in 1775. It seems that he moved to Buffalo Valley, Northumberland county so about 1787. But this must be a different Samuel Barber as he died already in 1792. |
